DIY: Exfoliating Facial Scrub

We all love to exfoliate our skin, right? Then what better way to do it with a scrumptious DIY facial scrub that tastes truly divine!

1. Put around 1 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil into a bowl or container of some sort.
Olive Oil is one of those magical substances that is brilliant for our skin, hair, nails, and just about anything else on your body. 'Extra Virgin' is a lighter, purer version of the oil, therefore better for us. The fat composition of Olive Oil is very similar to that of a human's, so almost nobody suffers allergic reactions from it. It effectively moisturizes our skin and locks in the moisture.

2. Add 50% white sugar and 50% brown sugar. Add enough to make a crunchy paste that would stick to your face with a little effort.
White sugar and other bleached foods (white flour, white rice, etc) can do wonders for our complexion. Brown sugar is more abrasive and will help get rid of the dead skin cells.

Sugar has very rough and jagged edges, so rubbing your face excessively is not needed. Gently apply exfoliating facial scrub to your face and rub lightly in circular motions, working it into your pores. Remove with a warm flannel. Redness up to an hour may be noticed in areas exfoliated and this is caused by blood stimulation from the movement of the exfoliation. Hope you enjoy, please comment with how you found this. Thank-you for reading :-)
